Croeso! Happy Advent.

This month: December

In the church season of Advent, we prepare with joyful anticipation for the coming of Jesus at Christmas. We are excited to offer a variety of Advent and Christmas services and events this year, throughout the month and across our town. Besides our usual Sunday morning services, they include:

  • Sunday 27 November, 6pm at All Saints’: Darkness to Light Advent carol service
  • Saturday 10 December at St Mary’s: Breakfast with Santa (£5 per child, £3 per adult, please book ahead)
  • Saturday 10 December, 3pm at All Saints’: Memorial Service
  • Sunday 18 December, 7pm at St Mary’s: Service of Lessons and Carols with the Mayor of Barry
  • Thursday 22 December, 7pm at All Saints’: Nine Lessons and Carols

Christmas Eve, Saturday 24 December:

  • 2.30pm at Merthyr Dyfan: Service of Lessons and Carols
  • 4pm at All Saints’: Crib Service (children and families especially welcome!)
  • 5.30pm at St Cadoc’s: Vigil Mass (first Eucharist of the Feast)
  • 11pm at All Saints’: Midnight Mass (with choir)
  • 11.30pm at St Mary’s: Midnight Mass (with carols)

Christmas Day, Sunday 25 December:

  • 9am at Merthyr Dyfan: Sung Eucharist
  • 9am at St Cadoc’s: Sung Eucharist
  • 9.30am at All Saints’: Sung Eucharist (note change of time)
  • 10.30am at St Mary’s: Sung Eucharist
